Blogger Interview: Lauren Binnie from Lauren Writes a Blog!

Hello everyone! We have a guest today from Lauren Writes a Blog. Please welcome Lauren Binnie!

Q: What inspired you to start a book blog?
After finishing a book I always go online to read reviews to see what other people think. I used to look at Amazon reviews, but more recently found book bloggers on WordPress, and I thought, ‘hey that’s pretty cool, I wanna do that too!’ Once I started it was quite addictive. There’s something very satisfying about hitting that ‘publish’ button!

Q: Any advice/ tips to those who would like to start a book blog?
Go for it! Be inspired by what others are doing. My blog is still a work in progress but that’s ok. I’m seeing so much good stuff on other people’s blogs that inspires me and keeps me motivated, such as thinking of a reading challenge for 2014! I’d recommend doing tags or a weekly feature, such as Top Ten Tuesdays, which gives you an instant community of like minded people.

Favorites

Q: Favorite book (include author)?
Picking favourites is so difficult for me! Different books appeal depending on how I’m feeling. Some of my favourites include books like One Day by David Nicholls, The Bell Jar by Silvia Plath and the Hunger Game trilogy.

Q: Favorite genre?
I read lots of genres, as long as the story is good. Recently I’ve been drawn to quite a few thrillers and mysteries, I think it’s something to do with the wintery weather.

Q: Favorite drink?
Ginger beer at the moment.

Q: Favorite candy?
Anything chocolatey!

There you have it folks Lauren Binnie from Lauren Writes a Blog 🙂
