Blogger Interview: Beth and Kate from The Reading Vixens

Hey guys! We have two special guests today! Please welcome Beth and Kate from The Reading Vixens!

The Reading Vixens
What got you inspired to start a blog?
B Honestly, my best friend and blogmate Kait. We had been toying with the idea for quite some time. Way back when she had a personal blog, and loved doing it, so we kinda just started on a whim. Well, as much of a whim as two extremely avid readers that just happen to write reviews could be. 😉
K–  Beth and I both loved read, so it just came up one day as an idea. I was already writing reviews on Goodreads and had a personal blog so the idea was exciting for me.

What is your life like outside of blogging?

B– Hectic. I have  9yr old step son (Phillipe), 1 1/2yr old Puppy (Loki), a 4yr old kitty (Lukah) and a childish husband (Pedro). These three keep me on my toes for sure! Besides that I work as in Retail Management. {YAAAY Christmas. (Not)}

K– I work as a manager in retail, so it’s pretty busy, especially this time of year.

Any advice/ tips to those who would like to start a book blog?

B-Make sure you have enough time to DEDICATE to your blogging. Life happens, and will always get in the way. I’ve fallen victim to that just recently!

K– My advice would be don’t get too wrapped up in what everyone else is doing. Make your blog your own.
Favorites

Book(s) (include Author)?

B– What a  loaded question. I mean, I’m not sure how to pick. I probably have a favorite for each genre, But… I’ll shout out a couple.  Jennifer L. Armentrout, Rebecca Maizel, Colleen Hoover, LK Collins, and Kirsty Dallas to name a few. I have quite a few favorite books as well, like some of my favorites over the years – Unearthly series, The Mara Dyer books, Tigers Curse series, The Hollow series, Left Drowning, and I’m gonna stop before this is 10 years.

K– Oh god, the dreaded question… Harry Potter & the Deathly Hallows or Second Helpings by Megan McCafferty.
Favorite genre?

B– I’d have to go with New Adult. Young Adult will always be my first love, but Fifty Shades series really opened me up to a whole new world of reading that I may never have thought to read.

K– Any YA will always be my first love.

Favorite drink?

B-  Tea & Pepsi Max

K– Coke Cherry Zero

Favorite candy?

B– Umm, Peanut M&M’s at the moment, ask me again in a month and it’ll probably change. 😉

K– Pink & Red Starburst
