What got you inspired to start a blog?
I started blogging my junior year of high school (I’m a freshman in college now), and it was really just an outlet for my love of books. A lot of my friends weren’t interested in reading, and I had been following book blogs for awhile and it was kind of a spur of the moment decision. After that it took me awhile to actually start blogging about the books I wanted to readbut now it’s all good.

What is your life like outside of blogging?
It’s pretty normal actually. I’m a freshman in college, and I may or may not have to babysit a lot because of my compulsive shopping problem. Umm. I scrapbook a lot, and the $1 section of Target is my life. The past few months have been crazy because I’ve read less than I’ve ever done before, but I’m getting back on track.

Any advice/ tips to those who would like to start a book blog?
I think just to remember that it’s YOUR blog. No one can tell you how it should look, or what you should be reading. I think a lot of the time when you’re first starting out, you get caught up in the ARCS and blogger jealousy and all of those bad things. If you’re calm about it and relaxed it’ll be a much more enjoyable experience. Or that’s been my case at least.

Favorites

Book(s) (include Author)? Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins, If I Stay by Gayle Forman, Along for the Ride by Sarah Dessen, and On the Road by Jack Kerouac. These are the books that made me LOVE Young Adult, so they’re always going to be my favorite.
Favorite genre? Young Adult Contemporary! If you look at my blog it’s going to be almost all Contemps with the occasional dystopian/sci-fi read.
Favorite drink? COFFEE. I drink a lot of it. Iced White Mochas, if we’re being specific. But at home and when I’m reading I always have a cup of coffee… or water.
